Our Program Topic Will Be:

     “The 1% Solution”

This webinar will address strategies for sealing duct systems to 1% system cfm leakage requirements.  We will look at shop strategies to reduce and prevent field leakage.  We will also discuss field solutions contractors can use to prevent common leakage areas; these solutions can be used by the manufacturer limit backcharges, disputes and jobsite visits. 

Our Presenter Will Be:
     Scott Witherow | SW Sales Group

Scott Witherow is the owner of SW Sales Group.  He is the former 22-year Vice President of Design Polymerics and 8-year General Manager of United McGill’s AirSeal division.  He developed the fiber-based sealant, spray duct sealant and aerosol edge coating.  His many years in the spiral/rectangular division at United McGill give him a unique perspective of duct sealant application in both the shop and field.  He is a mechanical engineer and an 8-year member of the SPIDA Board of Directors.  He helped author the UL 181 A/B-M standards, is a Snips contributor and advisory board member and often consults with SMANCA and ASHRAE technical staff members.
